What does "with matching gel and lacquer" actually mean?

It means one purchase, three products, one shade. Every listing on this page carries a combo option that puts the dip powder jar, the soak-off gel and the nail lacquer together in the same color. Not a similar color. The same one, formulated across all three so the hands and the toes read as one set rather than two near misses.

That is the whole reason the page exists. A salon doing a manicure and a pedicure in the same appointment cannot use a dip shade on the hands and guess at a lacquer for the feet. Guessing shows. So we pair them at the source and sell the pair as a single line item.

The six SNS Pro books

816 of the shades on this page are numbered entries in six books. Four of them run to 144 shades, two run to 120. The split that matters is not the color story, it's whether the powder needs an activator.

The remaining listings are 30 whole-board bundles and 20 seasonal 4-in-1 sets. Every powder in all six books works dipped over a base coat or sculpted with monomer, so a tech running both services carries one jar per shade instead of two.

Reading the shade numbers

Every shade in a book has a number rather than only a name, and the numbering is the part that makes this range work as a salon system rather than as a catalog of pretty colors. Blue, Burgundy, Beige and Pink run #001 through #144. Green and Yellow Green run #001 through #120.

The boards follow the same logic. A Blue board is #001 to #036, #037 to #072, #073 to #108 or #109 to #144, so the four boards laid side by side are the complete book with nothing missing and nothing repeated. Green and Yellow Green split into four boards of 30 for the same reason.

Why it matters in practice: a client who liked #096 nine months ago can have exactly #096 again, and a tech ordering a replacement jar does not have to match a name across a photograph on a screen. Shade names shift with seasons and marketing. Numbers do not, which is why the reorder line on a busy salon's order sheet is almost always a number.

What the four options on a listing are

Open any Blue, Burgundy, Beige or Pink shade, for example Blue Book #096, and the dropdown offers four things at four prices.

• Gel Only, $4.75. The soak-off gel on its own. For a tech who already has the powder and wants the matching gel for a client's toes.
• Gel & Lacquer Duo, $10.50. The gel plus the air-dry lacquer, no powder. This is also what the whole Gel & Lacquer Duo page is built from.
• Dip/Acrylic Powder, $19.50. The jar on its own, no gel, no lacquer.
• Combo, $30.00. Powder plus gel plus lacquer.

Worth being straight about the arithmetic: $19.50 plus $10.50 is $30.00. The combo is the sum of its parts, not a discount. What you're buying is one line item instead of two and a guaranteed match, which is a scheduling benefit rather than a price benefit. If price is the deciding factor and you already own the powder, buy the duo.

How do you pick between the books?

• You want the activator step gone. Green or Yellow Green. The powder carries what it needs to set, so you brush, dip and go to the top coat. In a full appointment book that is minutes back, every client.
• You want the widest shade range. Blue, Burgundy, Beige and Pink, at 144 shades each. Together they are 576 numbered colors.
• You also sculpt with monomer. Any of the six. All of them are dip and acrylic capable, which is the whole point of the Pro range.
• You want the gel on its own for pedicures. Only the four activator books carry a Gel Only option at $4.75.
• You are stocking a station from scratch. Go to the whole-board bundles below, or to sets and bundles.

Bundles and buying a whole board

Each book is sold in boards as well as singles. A board of 36 shades, or the complete 144, arrives as one listing with the same four options on it. So the full Burgundy book can be bought as 144 powders, 144 duos, 144 gels or 144 combos, and you pick which at the dropdown.

List pricing on a board is the single-shade price multiplied out, so the bundle is about stocking in one action rather than about a shelf discount. Salon and wholesale pricing works differently and is handled on account. The professional FAQ explains how to get set up.

The 20 seasonal 4-in-1 sets are a smaller commitment. Autumn Bazaar is six shades in one box, powder and gel and lacquer for each, which is the usual way a salon tries a seasonal story without committing to a board.

Who this page is for

Mostly professionals. The books are salon-size jars, the numbering exists for reordering, and the boards are sized to how a station is actually stocked. A salon that carries one book has 144 shades a client can point at, which is a different conversation from carrying twelve bottles and hoping one is close.

If you are doing your own nails at home, this range will work and nothing here is gated to trade accounts. It is simply more than most people need for one set of hands. If you want the shade without the gel and lacquer, that is dip-only powder. If you want any powder that also sculpts, that is dip and acrylic powder. If you want the gel and the lacquer with no jar at all, that is SNS Gel Only.

How do you apply a matched set?

The powder half follows the normal dip sequence, and our full dip powder guide has it step by step with the timings.

1. Prep. Cuticles pushed back and never cut, shape, buff, then wipe with alcohol or acetone so no oil is left on the plate.
2. Base coat in thin layers, dipping into Foundation powder first, then into the color, two passes of each.
3. Activator over the whole nail, four minutes, then file and buff, then a second coat of activator. On Green and Yellow Green you skip this step entirely.
4. Two thin coats of top coat, sealing the free edge each time.
5. For the pedicure, the matching gel goes on under a lamp, or the lacquer air dries. Same shade either way.

The gel half needs a lamp. The powder half never does. That catches people out, so it is worth saying plainly.

One more thing that surprises people the first time they run a shade across all three products: the same color does not sit at the same depth in each. Powder builds through two passes over the base, so it lands opaque and slightly warmer. The gel goes on thinner and usually wants two coats to reach the same density under the lamp. The lacquer is the thinnest of the three and, on a pale shade especially, may want a third. So if a client's hands and toes are meant to read as one set, the number of coats on the pedicure is the thing to adjust, not the shade.

Care and removal

Dip comes off with a soak, not a pry. Picking at a lifted edge takes layers of the nail plate with it, and those layers grow back over months, so one rushed removal outlasts the manicure that caused it by a long way.
