Is the Burgundy Book only dark shades?

No, though it has the most of them: 25 of the 144 are dark, and 27 are blues and teals, which is why it reads as the winter book. The rest run the spectrum, including 35 pinks and mauves and 15 whites and grays. SNS names the Pro books for the cover, so a Burgundy Book has wine shades in it but is not built from them.

What is the difference between this page and the Burgundy Book 3-in-1 page?

This page lists each of the 144 codes once, and you pick the format on the listing: powder, gel only, gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set. The 3-in-1 page, and the other format pages linked in the table above, list the same codes as single-format products. Use this page when you want to browse the book and decide the format afterwards. Use a format page when you already know you only buy, say, the gel.

What is a board?

A quarter of the book. The Burgundy Book is split into four boards of 36 codes each, #001 to #036 and so on, and each board is sold as a bundle in the same formats as the singles: the 36 powders, the 36 duos, or the 36 3-in-1 sets. The price is the per-code price times 36, so a board is a way to fill part of a color wall in one order rather than a discount. The full book of 144 works the same way.

Do I need an activator for the dip powder?

Yes. The powder in this book is the standard SNS Pro dip and acrylic powder: two coats over base, then activator to set it before filing, and a second coat of activator before top coat. The activator, base, top coat and brush cleaner are sold under Dip Essentials. If you would rather skip the activator step, the Green Book and Yellow Green Book use a powder that sets on its own.

Will the gel and the lacquer really match the powder?

That is what the code is for. We build all three formats of a code to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so a client who wears the powder on her hands and the lacquer on her toes reads as one color. Base resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic, and it is the reason the same code number is printed on all three pieces. Match against the physical book or the swatch photo on the listing rather than a phone screen when it matters.

What is the SNS Burgundy Book?

One of the six SNS Pro color books, and this page is the whole book: 144 shades coded #001 to #144, one listing per code. Open any code and you choose the format on the listing, powder, gel, duo or 3-in-1, so the shade you swatched on the physical book is the shade you order, whatever service it's for.

It is not only burgundy. Wine and deep red are here, but so are 27 blues and teals, 15 whites and grays, and 35 pinks. SNS names the books for the cover; the counts are what matter.

Inside the Burgundy Book: 144 shades by family

We counted the 144 swatches on the official card by color family. A glitter is counted in its family and again under glitter, and a dark shade is counted in its family and again under dark, so the column does not add to 144.

Who is the Burgundy Book for?

You need darks and navy for the cold months. 25 dark shades and 27 blues and teals, the most of either in any SNS Pro book.
You want whites, grays and blacks in one place. 15 whites and grays plus 10 blacks, for French, marble and nail art bases.
You already run the Burgundy Book in dip. Every code is here in gel and lacquer too.
You run a fall and winter menu. The four Fall 2026 sets drawn from this book are listed further down.
You only want a shade or two. Every code is sold singly, from $7.95 for the gel alone. Nothing on this page needs a minimum order.

How does one code work across dip, gel and lacquer?

Prep once: push the cuticle back, shape, buff the shine off the plate, and wipe with alcohol so no oil is left. Then the service decides the piece.

Dip, on the hands. Two coats of powder over two thin coats of base, activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp anywhere in this step. The liquids are under Dip Essentials.
Gel, if the client wants gel instead. A thin coat of gel base, cured. Two thin coats of GelStar color, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer. Base and top are under Base & Top Gel.
Lacquer, on the toes. Two coats of the SNS Nail Lacquer from the same code, air-dried. A top coat is optional.

The client leaves in one color from fingertip to toe, and next month she can switch from dip to gel and keep the shade. Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel; our guide is in how to safely remove dip powder at home.

Boards and the full-book set

Above the single codes sit five bundles: four boards of 36 codes each (#001 to #036, and so on up to #144), and the full book of 144. Each bundle comes in the same formats as the singles, and every one is priced at exactly the per-code price times the count. A board is for filling a quarter of a wall at once; the full set is for opening a matched wall in one order. Neither is a discount.
