What is the SNS Blue Book?

One of the six SNS Pro color books, and this page is the whole book: 144 shades coded #001 to #144, one listing per code. Open any code and you choose the format on the listing, powder, gel, duo or 3-in-1, so the shade you swatched on the physical book is the shade you order, whatever service it's for.

It is not a book of blue shades. Twenty of the 144 are blues and teals, which is more than most books carry, and the other 124 run the whole spectrum. If you searched for blue SNS colors, the 20 are here among the codes, and the all dip powder page lets you filter every book at once.

The broadest of the six books. 40 pinks and mauves, 28 reds and corals, 20 blues and teals, 19 nudes and browns, 10 purples, and 16 glitter or shimmer finishes, with 24 shades dark enough for a winter wall. If a salon stocks one SNS book, this is usually it.

Every shade in 4 formats

Every code on this page comes in 4 formats, and the price is the same for every code in the book. We match all three pieces of a code to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, and formulate the base and powder with our Nutri-Plus system and the GelStar gel with vitamin E and calcium, so the pieces are built as one system rather than three products that share a number.

The format pages in the last column list the same 144 codes as single-format products, sorted by code, for anyone who only ever buys one format. This page is the one to use when you want to see a code and decide the format afterwards.

Inside the Blue Book: 144 shades by family

We counted the 144 swatches on the official card by color family. A glitter is counted in its family and again under glitter, and a dark shade is counted in its family and again under dark, so the column does not add to 144.

Screens shift color. For a client decision, match against the physical book or the swatch photo on the listing, not against a thumbnail.

Who is the Blue Book for?

• You are opening a salon and can afford one book. This one. It has the widest spread, so a walk-in asking for red, nude, navy or glitter finds something.
• You already run the Blue Book in dip. Every code is here in gel and lacquer too, so the dip wall gains a gel service without a re-swatch.
• You want blues and teals specifically. This book has 20, the most of any SNS Pro book.
• You do your own nails and want one shade in every format. Buy the 3-in-1 of that code and stop matching brands.
• You only want a shade or two. Every code is sold singly, from $7.95 for the gel alone. Nothing on this page needs a minimum order.

How does one code work across dip, gel and lacquer?

Prep once: push the cuticle back, shape, buff the shine off the plate, and wipe with alcohol so no oil is left. Then the service decides the piece.

1. Dip, on the hands. Two coats of powder over two thin coats of base, activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp anywhere in this step. The liquids are under Dip Essentials.
2. Gel, if the client wants gel instead. A thin coat of gel base, cured. Two thin coats of GelStar color, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer. Base and top are under Base & Top Gel.
3. Lacquer, on the toes. Two coats of the SNS Nail Lacquer from the same code, air-dried. A top coat is optional.

The client leaves in one color from fingertip to toe, and next month she can switch from dip to gel and keep the shade. Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel; our guide is in how to safely remove dip powder at home.

Boards and the full-book set

Above the single codes sit five bundles: four boards of 36 codes each (#001 to #036, and so on up to #144), and the full book of 144. Each bundle comes in the same formats as the singles, and every one is priced at exactly the per-code price times the count. A board is for filling a quarter of a wall at once; the full set is for opening a matched wall in one order. Neither is a discount.
