Frequently asked questions
What is Lavis C17 Glossy Touch?
A 24-shade gel polish collection in the Lavis C-series with a sheer nude-pink jelly finish: sheer nude and pink jellies with a barely-there finish. Each shade is a 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) bottle, formulated without HEMA, curing 60 seconds per coat under a UV/LED lamp. We sell the singles and the 24-color set.
How many coats does C17 Glossy Touch need?
One coat for a sheer wash, two for a jelly nude; three on the milky shades. Cure 60 seconds after every coat and seal with a glossy gel top. Because the look changes with the coat count, keep a swatch tip of each code at one, two and three coats so the client can choose before you start.
What is left out of the C17 Glossy Touch formula?
HEMA. It is the small monomer most gel products are built on and the usual cause when a client reacts to gel, and Lavis formulates every C17 shade without it. That is an exclusion we can state plainly, not a guarantee that no one reacts; no cosmetic can promise that. Clients with a history of gel reactions should still check the ingredient list of whatever they reacted to.
Which C17 Glossy Touch shades should a salon start with?
For all year and clean-girl sets: a sheer peach and a milky pink for the two most-asked nudes, the deeper pinks for a jelly French. Within the Lavis range, C01 Jelly Jamboree is the candy-pastel jelly line, and C03 Sundaze Gloss the glass-gloss layer. Fill the rest from the 24-color set listing once you see which codes your clients ask for; most salons open a C-series line with six to eight codes rather than all 24.
Does C17 Glossy Touch work over a colored base?
Yes. The translucent finishes are made for it: one coat over a cream adds the effect to any color. Over a cured cream color the finish behaves as a top layer and changes the base; over bare gel base it shows its own color. Wear is the same either way, up to 21 days by Lavis's figure, and removal is a standard soak-off.
What is Lavis C17 Glossy Touch?
C17 Glossy Touch is a 24-shade gel polish collection in the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range that runs from C01 to C17. Finish: sheer nude-pink jelly. A nude sheer-pink jelly collection: soft, clean, barely-there pink and peach jellies that warm the nail with a translucent glow. Lavis describes each shade against its neighbors, for example the sheer peach nude that pairs with the milky shade beside it.
Every shade is formulated without HEMA, comes in the standard 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, and cures in 60 seconds per coat under a UV/LED lamp. We carry the line as 25 singles and as the 24-color set.
The 25 shades, as singles or the set
The C17 Glossy Touch 24-color set listing carries every shade as a Style option plus a full-set option, so it is a second way to buy any single code or to stock the whole line at once.

Each code links to its own page with swatch photos; the short description is Lavis's own note on the shade. Screens shift a shade more than a swatch does, so if a client is between two codes, swatch both on a tip before committing.
Buy singles to test the line against your clientele and the set to put the whole range on the wall in one order. Most salons do both in that order: a handful of codes first, the set once the requests keep coming, then singles again to restock the codes that move.
Who is C17 Glossy Touch for?
Lavis pitches this line for all year and clean-girl sets. In the salon it tends to book for:
- Clean-girl and glazed nude sets: the finish the trend is built on.
- Every skin tone: sheer peach, pink and milky nudes across the range.
- Jelly French and gradient nudes: translucent tips with no hard line.
- Natural-nail clients: a wash of color that still shows the nail.
Within the Lavis range, C01 Jelly Jamboree is the candy-pastel jelly line, and C03 Sundaze Gloss the glass-gloss layer. The whole C-series runs from C01 to C17 with one specialty finish per line, jelly, pearl, cream, neon, glass and cat eye, so most salons pick two or three lines by finish rather than stocking all of them.
How do you apply Lavis C17 gel polish?
- Prep. Cuticles back, a light buff, a clean wipe, then a cured coat of gel base (Base & Top Gel).
- Coat one. Thin, capped at the free edge, cured 60 seconds.
- Coat two, and three where needed. One coat for a sheer wash, two for a jelly nude; three on the milky shades. Cure 60 seconds each time.
- Seal. Glossy gel top, cured. Lavis's wear figure is up to 21 days with proper prep and a top coat.
Lamps and prep tools are under Nail Tools & Accessories. Take it off like any gel: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push.
Layering, topping and French work with a sheer nude-pink jelly finish
The same bottle does three jobs. As a top layer, one coat over a cured solid color adds the sheer nude-pink jelly effect to a shade you already stock. As a color, two coats over base give the look Lavis designed. As a French, the shade brushed onto the tip fades into the base with no hard line, which a cream cannot do.
Topping changes it again: glossy gel top for the glass finish, matte top for a velvet one, both under Base & Top Gel. Lighter shades also encapsulate chrome, foil and glitter from Nail Art without hiding them, and a solid cream from SNS Gel Only underneath makes any of the sheer codes opaque.
How sheer nude-pink jelly finish compares with a cream gel
Where a cream gel hides the nail in two coats, a sheer nude-pink jelly finish is built in layers: One coat for a sheer wash, two for a jelly nude; three on the milky shades. Keep that in mind when quoting a service time, and keep a tip of each shade on the counter, because the same bottle looks different at one, two and three coats. For a full-coverage brief, our SNS Gel Only creams are the simpler choice.
What does HEMA-free mean on this page?
Every C17 Glossy Touch bottle is formulated without HEMA, the small monomer most gel products are built on and the usual suspect when a client reacts to gel. We describe that as an exclusion rather than a safety claim, because no cosmetic can promise that nobody reacts. If a client has reacted before, check what was in the product; it is usually HEMA.
Wear, removal and stocking the line
- How it wears: up to 21 days by Lavis's figure, with prep and a gel top. Re-top at week two if the gloss fades.
- Taking it off: file the surface thin, wrap with acetone, wait, push. No peeling.
- Bottle care: tight cap, no direct sun, room temperature, and a roll between the palms before use.
- How to stock it: pick the six codes your clients ask for first, then fill gaps from the set listing.
