What is Lavis C14 Secret Garden?

C14 Secret Garden is a 24-shade gel polish collection in the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range that runs from C01 to C17. Finish: pastel cat eye with a moonlit-gold sweep. Soft pastels with cat eye: a lush, moonlit-gold cat eye range of pastel garden pinks, sage greens and rose-gold nudes, smooth enough that the pastel shades pop without a neon base underneath. The first shade is a pearl silver.

Every shade is formulated without HEMA, comes in the standard 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, and cures in 60 seconds per coat under a UV/LED lamp. We carry the line as 24 singles and as the 24-color set.

The C14 Secret Garden 24-color set listing carries every shade as a Style option plus a full-set option, so it is a second way to buy any single code or to stock the whole line at once.

Each code links to its own page with swatch photos; the short description is Lavis's own note on the shade. Screens shift a shade more than a swatch does, so if a client is between two codes, swatch both on a tip before committing.

Buy singles to test the line against your clientele and the set to put the whole range on the wall in one order. Most salons do both in that order: a handful of codes first, the set once the requests keep coming, then singles again to restock the codes that move.

Who is C14 Secret Garden for?

Lavis pitches this line for spring and all year. In the salon it tends to book for:

• Spring garden sets: sage, blush and rose-gold with a gold sweep.
• Pastel clients who want an effect: no dark underlayer needed; the pastel carries the line.
• Bridal and shower sets: soft gold on pastel photographs warmly.
• Techs pairing with C04: the cat eye version of the Wildflower Whimsy creams.

Within the Lavis range, C04 Wildflower Whimsy is the cream pastel line without the line, and C10 Light of Dawn the other gold-sweep pastel cat eye. The whole C-series runs from C01 to C17 with one specialty finish per line, jelly, pearl, cream, neon, glass and cat eye, so most salons pick two or three lines by finish rather than stocking all of them.

How do you apply Lavis C14 cat eye gel?

1. Prep. Cuticles back, light buff, clean wipe, cured gel base (Base & Top Gel).
2. Color bed. One thin coat of C14 Secret Garden, cured 60 seconds, magnet still in the drawer.
3. Magnet coat. A fuller second coat; while it is wet, hold the magnet a few millimeters over the nail for a few seconds, then put that nail under the lamp right away.
4. Seal. Full 60 to 90 second cure, then a glossy gel top. Lavis's wear figure is up to 21 days with proper prep.

Straight, diagonal or double: where the magnet goes

The magnet position is the whole design. Centered and lengthwise gives the straight cat eye; tilted, a diagonal streak; one end held closer, a curve; two flash-cured passes, a double line; a flat hold over the nail, an even shimmer with no line at all.

Base color decides how strong the line looks. C14 Secret Garden over its own base keeps the finish soft; over a cured dark solid from SNS Gel Only the streak reads sharpest. Glossy top for shine, matte top for velvet, both under Base & Top Gel.

How is a 24-shade C-series cat eye different from the 12-shade CE drops?

Lavis runs two cat eye families. The CE drops are 12-shade capsules with the 9D pigment, one mood each. The C-series lines like C14 Secret Garden carry 24 shades and put the base first: pastel cat eye with a moonlit-gold sweep, with a softer, more uniform line across the range. Stock a C line for breadth and a CE drop for intensity. For a cat eye outside the Lavis palettes, our SNS Cat Eye Gel lines add 48 more shades.

What does HEMA-free mean on this page?

Every C14 Secret Garden bottle is formulated without HEMA, the small monomer most gel products are built on and the usual suspect when a client reacts to gel. We describe that as an exclusion rather than a safety claim, because no cosmetic can promise that nobody reacts. If a client has reacted before, check what was in the product; it is usually HEMA.

Wear, removal and stocking the line

• How it wears: up to 21 days by Lavis's figure, with prep and a gel top. Re-top at week two if the gloss fades.
• Taking it off: file the surface thin, wrap with acetone, wait, push. No peeling.
• Bottle care: tight cap, no direct sun, room temperature, and a roll between the palms before use.
• How to stock it: pick the six codes your clients ask for first, then fill gaps from the set listing.
