Is it HEMA-free?
Yes. The line is formulated without HEMA and without TPO. That describes what is left out of the formula, not a promise that nobody can react to gel.
How do I get a sharper cat eye line?
Hold the magnet closer to the wet second coat and keep it still for three to five seconds before curing. The closer the magnet, the sharper and deeper the line.
Do I need a special top coat?
A no-wipe gel top coat, cured under a UV or LED lamp, is what we recommend over the cured cat eye layer.

Lavis Cat Eye Velvet Ember is the autumn drop in the Lavis Cat Eye series: 12 magnetic gel shades running ivory and cashmere through pumpkin spice, merlot night and mocha latte, HEMA-free and TPO-free, in 0.5 oz bottles sold as the 12-shade set. Each bottle holds magnetic pigment: painted on it reads as a shimmer gel, and a cat eye magnet held over the wet second coat pulls that shimmer into a band of light that moves with the angle of the hand.
The palette
Twelve shades: three sheer neutrals, pumpkin and maple, royal plum and merlot, crimson leaf, forest olive, mocha latte, autumn rose and berry blush. They are built to work together across a season, so a salon can run a full menu from the one box rather than matching odd bottles.
How a cat eye set is applied
Base coat, cure. One coat of color, cure. A second coat, then the magnet held close for three to five seconds before curing, which is the step that makes the line. A no-wipe top coat finishes it. Holding the magnet closer gives a tighter, deeper line; further away spreads it.
Formula
HEMA-free and TPO-free, soak-off, cured under a UV or LED lamp, in 0.5 oz bottles. HEMA and TPO are named because they are the two ingredients most often asked about; leaving them out is a statement about the formula, not a claim that no one can react to gel.
