LAVIS 9D Cat Eyes CE18 - 12 - Gel Polish 0.5 oz - Galaxtic Halo Collection
LAVIS 9D Cat Eyes CE18 - 12 - Gel Polish 0.5 oz - Galaxtic Halo Collection
Lavis CE18-12 is black void wrapped in a molten gold and silver halo, from the Galactic Halo cat eye drop (aurora halo shimmer wrapped around obsidian black). Painted on, it is a shimmer gel; hold a magnet over the wet second coat and the 9D pigment gathers into a line inside the color.
Why techs pick CE18-12
- 9D magnetic cat eye: the closer the magnet is held, the sharper and deeper the line, in Lavis's words.
- Formulated without HEMA and without TPO: stated as what is left out, not as a promise that nobody can react.
- 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle with a high-gloss, high-transparency finish.
- 60 to 90 second cure under a UV or LED lamp; Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep and a top coat.

How to apply CE18-12
- Prep: push cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
- First thin coat of CE18-12, cured 60 seconds, no magnet.
- Second, slightly fuller coat. Before it cures, hold a cat eye magnet about 2 mm above the wet gel for three to five seconds without touching it.
- Cure that nail at once, one nail at a time; the pigment drifts as soon as the magnet moves away. Full cure 60 to 90 seconds.
- Seal with a glossy gel top coat and cure. A dark cured underlayer makes the line read stronger.
Best for
Lavis pitches the Galactic Halo drop for all year. Warm and cool galaxy hands: gold-copper halos next to cool iridescent ones in one drop. Halo and aurora nail art: the ring of light comes from the pigment, not from hand painting.

Questions about CE18-12
Is a magnet included? No. Every Lavis cat eye shade needs a magnet, sold separately; any bar, stylus or dual-line nail magnet works and ours are in the Magnet collection. Without one the gel cures as an even shimmer.
Why is my line soft? Timing. The pigment starts to relax the moment the magnet moves away, so cure each nail within a second or two. A thin second coat or a magnet held too far away gives a faint line.
How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
