SNS Pro - Beige Book Collection - #142
SNS Pro - Beige Book Collection - #142
Beige Book #142 is an emerald green glitter, one of the 144 codes in the SNS Pro Beige Book. Pick the format on this listing: the Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel on its own, the gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.
This is one of 16 glitter codes in the Beige Book. Glitter dip shows the sparkle in the powder itself rather than in a top coat, so the shimmer runs through the whole layer and does not wear off the surface. Most techs use it as an accent nail or over a matching cream from the same family.
Why this powder
- Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #142 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
- Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
- Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
- The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #142
Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.
- Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #142, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
- Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #142 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
- Lacquer. Two coats of the #142 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.
Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.
For the dip you need our base, the Sealer Dry activator and a top coat, all under Dip Essentials. The gel base and gel top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #142
How do I get a smooth surface on a glitter powder like #142?
Glitter powders carry the sparkle in the powder itself, so the surface is a little more textured than a cream before you file. Do the same rounds of base and powder, then file lightly, buff, and rely on the top coat to level the finish. Most techs use a glitter as an accent nail over a cream from the same family.
Is this a dip powder or an acrylic powder?
Both. Over base it works as a dip overlay; with monomer it sculpts like an acrylic. One jar of #142 does either job.
How long does #142 last, and how does it come off?
Most clients get a few weeks from a dip set, though prep and lifestyle move that a lot. The dip and the gel both come off with an acetone soak; the lacquer with regular remover. Never peel a dip or gel set, it takes the surface of the nail with it.
