SNS Pro - Burgundy Book Collection - #048
SNS Pro - Burgundy Book Collection - #048
The black cherry at #048 in the SNS Pro Burgundy Book. Four ways to buy it on this one listing: the 1.5 oz Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel alone, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three. Same number, same shade, whichever you pick.
This is the shade for a client who asks for red and does not want to talk about it further. It sits well next to a nude on a French-style accent set, and it is a safe pick for toes because the lacquer in the duo is the same code.
Why this powder
- Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #048 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
- Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
- Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
- The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #048
Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.
- Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #048, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
- Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #048 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
- Lacquer. Two coats of the #048 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.
Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.
The dip needs a base, an activator and a top coat: they are under Dip Essentials. Gel base and top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #048
Which board is #048 on?
Board 2, which runs #037 to #072. The board is sold as one bundle in the same formats as this listing, so it is a way to fill a quarter of a Burgundy Book wall in one order. The full book of 144 codes is sold the same way.
Is this a dip powder or an acrylic powder?
Both. Over base it works as a dip overlay; with monomer it sculpts like an acrylic. One jar of #048 does either job.
How long does #048 last, and how does it come off?
Most clients get a few weeks from a dip set, though prep and lifestyle move that a lot. The dip and the gel both come off with an acetone soak; the lacquer with regular remover. Never peel a dip or gel set, it takes the surface of the nail with it.
