How to apply #017

Prep is the same for all three formats: push the cuticle back, shape, take the shine off the plate, wipe with alcohol.

1. Dip. Two rounds of thin base and #017 powder, then file, buff and top coat. This powder sets without an activator, so that step is simply left out. No lamp.
2. Gel. Gel base, two thin coats of the #017 gel and a gel top, each cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
3. Lacquer. Two air-dried coats of the #017 lacquer for toes or touch-ups.

Both the dip and the gel come off with an acetone soak.

How do I remove #017?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.

Do I need an activator with #017?

No. The powder in the Green Book sets without one. You dip over base, file, and go straight to top coat; the two activator coats of a standard dip service are left out. If your salon runs an activator routine on the 144-shade books, keep it for those and skip it here.
