How to apply #002

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #002, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #002 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #002 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

Is the swatch photo accurate?

It is the best online reference, but a screen is not a nail. For a color decision, match #002 against the physical Pink Book. Packaging styles vary by batch; the code and the shade are the same.

Will the gel and lacquer match the #002 powder?

That is what the code is for. We build all three pieces of #002 to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the powder on the hands and the lacquer on the toes read as one color. Match against the physical Pink Book or the swatch photo above rather than a phone screen when the decision matters.

Is this a dip powder or an acrylic powder?

Both. Over base it works as a dip overlay; with monomer it sculpts like an acrylic. One jar of #002 does either job.
