SNS Pro - Pink Book Collection - #099
SNS Pro - Pink Book Collection - #099
The mauve at #099 in the SNS Pro Pink Book. Four ways to buy it on this one listing: the 1.5 oz Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel alone, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three. Same number, same shade, whichever you pick.
Mauve sits between pink and taupe, which makes it one of the easier shades to sell to a client who finds pink too sweet and nude too plain. It is an office shade in summer and a full-set shade in autumn.
Why this powder
- Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #099 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
- Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
- Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
- The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #099
Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.
- Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #099, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
- Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #099 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
- Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #099 lacquer, left to air-dry.
To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.
Pair the powder with base, activator and top coat from Dip Essentials, and the gel with a base and top from Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #099
Can I buy #099 as part of a set?
Yes. It sits on board 3 of the Pink Book, codes #073 to #108, and the board is sold as one bundle in each format, 36 codes at a time. The full 144-code book is also sold as one bundle.
Can I sculpt with the #099 powder?
Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.
How do I remove #099?
Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.
