What is Lavis C12 Candy Quartz?

C12 Candy Quartz is a 24-shade gel polish collection in the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range that runs from C01 to C17. Finish: smooth jelly cat eye. Sweet tones with a smooth cat eye: candied confetti in gel form, bouncy translucent jellies with a playful cat eye that Lavis calls very wearable and universally flattering. The line is soft, more moonlight than metal.

Every shade is formulated without HEMA, comes in the standard 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, and cures in 60 seconds per coat under a UV/LED lamp. We carry the line as 24 singles and as the 24-color set.

The 24 shades, as singles or the set

The C12 Candy Quartz 24-color set listing carries every shade as a Style option plus a full-set option, so it is a second way to buy any single code or to stock the whole line at once.

Each code links to its own page with swatch photos; the short description is Lavis's own note on the shade. Screens shift a shade more than a swatch does, so if a client is between two codes, swatch both on a tip before committing.

The set and the singles are two routes to the same 24 bottles. Start with singles if the line is new to your clients; start with the set if you already know they ask for this finish. Either way, the singles are the restock route for the codes that sell fastest.

Who is C12 Candy Quartz for?

The whole C-series runs from C01 to C17 with one specialty finish per line, jelly, pearl, cream, neon, glass and cat eye, so most salons pick two or three lines by finish rather than stocking all of them.

How do you apply Lavis C12 cat eye gel?

1. Start clean. Push back the cuticle, buff lightly, dehydrate, cure a thin base from Base & Top Gel.
2. Thin first coat of the C12 Candy Quartz shade, cured, no magnet yet.
3. Second coat, magnet, flash cure. Hold a cat eye magnet a few millimeters above the wet coat for a few seconds and cure the nail the moment the line is right.
4. Top. Full cure, then a glossy gel top coat. Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep.

Straight, diagonal or double: where the magnet goes

Straight, diagonal, curved or double: the shape of the line is only where the magnet sits. Lengthwise over the center for the classic streak, angled for a diagonal, one end closer for a curve, two flash-cured passes for a double line. Held flat, the magnet spreads the shimmer evenly instead.

How is a 24-shade C-series cat eye different from the 12-shade CE drops?

Twelve versus twenty-four is the short answer. Lavis's CE drops are 12-shade 9D capsules where the magnetic line is the star; C12 Candy Quartz is a 24-shade C-series line where the finish is the star, smooth jelly cat eye, and the line stays consistent from code to code. What does HEMA-free mean on this page?

Lavis makes the C-series, C12 Candy Quartz included, without HEMA, the monomer behind most gel formulas and the ingredient most often named in gel reactions. Leaving it out is a formulation choice we can state plainly; it is not a guarantee that no client will react, and we do not present it as one.

Wear, removal and stocking the line

• Wear time: Lavis quotes up to 21 days with proper prep and a top coat; the top coat sets the limit.
• Removal: soak-off like any gel: thin the surface with a file, wrap with acetone, wait, push.
• Storage: caps tight, away from sunlight, room temperature; roll before the first coat so shimmer and pigment are even.
• Opening order: a handful of codes plus the set as the restock route is the usual way in, not all 24 on day one.
