SNS Pro - Blue Book Collection - #087
SNS Pro - Blue Book Collection - #087
The pale mauve at #087 in the SNS Pro Blue Book. Four ways to buy it on this one listing: the 1.5 oz Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel alone, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three. Same number, same shade, whichever you pick.
Mauve sits between pink and taupe, which makes it one of the easier shades to sell to a client who finds pink too sweet and nude too plain. It is an office shade in summer and a full-set shade in autumn.
Why this powder
- Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #087 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
- Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
- Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
- The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #087
Prep is the same for every format: push the cuticle back, shape, take the shine off the plate, wipe with alcohol.
- Dip. Two rounds of thin base and #087 powder, activator, file and buff, a second activator coat, top coat. No lamp.
- Gel. Gel base, two thin coats of the #087 GelStar and a gel top, each cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
- Lacquer. Two air-dried coats of the #087 lacquer for toes or touch-ups.
Both the dip and the gel come off with an acetone soak.
Pair the powder with base, activator and top coat from Dip Essentials, and the gel with a base and top from Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #087
Which board is #087 on?
Board 3, which runs #073 to #108. The board is sold as one bundle in the same formats as this listing, so it is a way to fill a quarter of a Blue Book wall in one order. The full book of 144 codes is sold the same way.
Are the gel and the lacquer the same shade as the powder?
Yes, by design. The same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer because the three are matched to one color. Resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic. Check it on the swatch photo or the physical book, not on a screen.
Can I sculpt with the #087 powder?
Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.
Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Blue Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
