How to apply #057

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #057, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #057 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #057 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

Are the gel and the lacquer the same shade as the powder?

Yes, by design. The same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer because the three are matched to one color. Resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic. Check it on the swatch photo or the physical book, not on a screen.
