SNS Pro - Blue Book Collection - #109
SNS Pro - Blue Book Collection - #109
#109 is an indigo from the SNS Pro Blue Book. The powder dips over base and sets with activator, the GelStar gel cures under a lamp and the SNS Nail Lacquer air-dries, and all three are matched to this one shade. Choose the format above; the price is the same for every code in the book.
Navy is the dark that clients accept when they will not wear black. It is a fall and winter full-set shade, and it pairs with the pale nudes in the Blue Book for a French-style accent.
Why this powder
- One code, three pieces. The powder, the gel and the lacquer of #109 are built to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the hands and the toes match without a re-swatch.
- Pre-bonded Gelous Color powder. The jar is our Nutri-Plus formula, and we formulate the base and the powder with vitamins and minerals, with vitamin E and calcium in the GelStar gel.
- Dip or sculpt. The powder dips over base and sets with activator, and it also sculpts with monomer like an acrylic, so one jar covers both services.
- Buy only what you use. The gel is sold alone, so a gel salon can carry the whole book without the powder.

How to apply #109
Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.
- Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #109, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
- Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #109 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
- Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #109 lacquer, left to air-dry.
To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.
Pair the powder with base, activator and top coat from Dip Essentials, and the gel with a base and top from Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #109
Can I buy #109 as part of a set?
Yes. It sits on board 4 of the Blue Book, codes #109 to #144, and the board is sold as one bundle in each format, 36 codes at a time. The full 144-code book is also sold as one bundle.
Do I need an activator with #109?
Yes. This is the standard SNS dip routine: base, powder, base, powder, then the Sealer Dry activator over the whole nail before you file, and a second coat before top coat. The activator is what sets the powder. The two no-activator books (Green and Yellow Green) skip it; the Blue Book does not.
Are the gel and the lacquer the same shade as the powder?
Yes, by design. The same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer because the three are matched to one color. Resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic. Check it on the swatch photo or the physical book, not on a screen.
Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Blue Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
